How to Care for Your HD 5x5 Lace Closure
How to Care for Your AA Hair:
Treat your AA Hair bundles with intention to keep them soft, bouncy, and luxurious through every install.
✓ Wash & condition after every install
Cleanse buildup and restore softness each time the hair is reinstalled.
Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for the best results.
✓ Clarify occasionally
Every few washes, use a clarifying shampoo to remove product and oil buildup.
Follow immediately with a moisturizing shampoo + deep conditioner to keep the strands hydrated and silky.
✓ Always air-dry
After washing, gently blot with a towel and allow the hair to air dry.
This protects the texture and helps maintain natural movement.
✓ Store in a silk bag
Keep bundles in a silk or satin bag in a cool, dry place to prevent friction, tangling, and dryness.
✓ Use lightweight products only
A light serum or leave-in is enough. Avoid heavy oils that weigh hair down and interfere with bounce.
✓ Detangle gently
Start from the ends and work upward using a wide-tooth comb or paddle brush.
✓ Protect before heat styling
Always use heat protectant when curling or straightening to maintain longevity and shine.
Handled with intention, your AA Hair bundles will stay soft, full, and luxurious install after install.
HD Lace Care Guide:
- Handle Gently: Avoid excessive pulling, brushing or tension on the lace.
- Do not overpluck or overbleach: Excessive plucking can cause early balding and thinning of the lace.
- Keep conditioner away from roots/knots: Apply conditioner to the mid-shaft and ends only. Conditioner can loosen knots and cause premature shedding.
- Wash gently: Use lukewarm/cool water and a gentle, sulfate free shampoo. Avoid scrubbing, twisting, and wringing the lace.
- Detangle carefully: Work from the ends upward with a wide tooth comb or your fingers.
- Minimize heat: Always use heat protectant and avoid excessive heat directly on the lace to prevent burning holes.
- Protect while sleeping: Wrap your hair with satin/silk.
- Remove properly: Never rip or pull lace during removal. Use proper removal products and techniques.
Please note: These care instructions must be followed consistently to maximize the integrity, longevity, and appearance of your lace and extensions. Professional or experienced installation is recommended for best results and longevity.
